I cannot say enough good things about Jared with ROQ. He did an absolutely phenomenal job for my wedding at the Castle Theatre. I feel like for an event like a wedding, a DJ can make or break it. Some are super corny, overly chatty, or more concerned with their own spotlight, but Jared was nothing like that. He was friendly, professional, efficient, and brought such a positive vibe to the whole day. Leading up to the event, he was easy to work with and great with communication. The sound & lighting were flawless. All of our specific ceremony songs were played exactly as intended, as well as the announcements we needed throughout the night. He included every single one of our must-play songs - including all of our niche requests. Completely honored the do-not-plays. The music he played between our requests totally fit the vibe, and included a variety of genres that made guests across generations happy. We also had karaoke throughout the evening which was a huge hit - and again, perfectly incorporated by him. I hired ROQ Events & Photo Booths for a High School Prom I was in charge of. From the very beginning Jared and his team were great to work with. They always communicated promptly, thought of every detail to cover before the event, and provided a top notch service. The Photo Booth was amazing quality and technology with several ways to receive the photos, and excellent props. At the dance, Jared and his team kept the kids dancing on the dance floor all night long. Jared was great at noticing what the audience wanted to hear and kept it going. I have found that high school students are the most critical of DJs and they all approve of ROQ Events and have requested them for future dances. Their customer platform is also great, allowing you to pick songs you want played, songs you don't want played, and have a request list before the event begins! Jared and his team think of and cover every detail before you can even think of it. Not only was Jared so nice, but his website and portal we're super easy to use and helped take some of the stress and guess work out. He did a great job with our song list and filing in with his own options where needed. My wife and I used ROQ Events recently for our wedding and I wish I could give this review more than five stars. Jared's communication and attention to detail are second to none. We never had a single issue and our day went off without a hitch. From planning, to the ceremony, the reception and everything in between, Jared was top notch. We used ROQ Events for the sound at our wedding and as our reception DJ, and we are so happy we did! Jared was great to work with throughout this whole process. We were able to pick multiple playlists (and do-not-palylists) for the wedding, dinner, and dancing as well as customize walk-in music, add a light-monogram on the dance floor, and boost the ambiance with lighting around the dinner hall! Jared has a website set up to add music or change the order of events, and it was great to work with! We had a ton of fun selecting songs and creating playlists! Anything we didn't select music for, he filled in with great selections. As good as his prep work is, the day of the event is really where Jared shined! He met with people who needed mic'd up early, set up sound (with wireless speakers and mics) for our outdoor wedding, and set up the DJ booth and lighting inside with plenty of time to spare. And when it came time for his emcee skills to kick in, we were highly impressed! Jared had a great presence on the microphone and kept the evening rolling with introductions, notifications, and great music! We had a large age range present and he did a great job picking songs to keep everyone on the dance floor, and then seamlessly transitioned to music for our younger crowd once kids went home. I also thought his portal was super organized and convenient to use!
